feeling down :((
results was just ok, nothing to be proud of, nothing to be happy about..
did quite badly in sciences actually...but i did better in Os than prelims.. so alhamdulilah..
i hate the process of choosing where to go next cause i really don't know.. can't decide at the moment.mum encouraged me to go poly..
but i'm not sure what course shld I take..well, PJC is in front of my house but i'm not sure if i can cope..
oh. Allah. please help me make the right decision.

i received this email from my senior, she's at Ngee Ann Poly now studying mass comm:
Assalamualaikum,
whether or not you wana choose poly or jc lies in your long-term plans for ur future. jc has a higher chance of furthering studies to university. in poly, you are given a sneak peek into the real working life, based on the course you are in. ask yourself, are you more into theory-based studies, or are you more into practical work? if you prefer the daily routine of going school at 8 am, study textbooks and whatnot, then JC's your place (sth like an advancement of sec sch). but if you opt for a completely new style of education (irregular timetable - which is cool,wear own clothes etc), choose POLY! :)
bottomline is, which area is ur interest in? you wouldn't wana get stuck in sth you have zero passion for. maybe you can browse thru the websites which has courses that suit ur interest. and most importantly, ask ALLAH! He knows the answer already. cuma tunggu you to usaha and doa saje. hehe.
personally, i would choose poly because now i'm more exposed to the job scope of the different careers i can have in future. (and the best thing about being in masscomm, one of the semesters in year 1 doesn't even have exams. haha). and timetable wise, you gota be prepared to be in school from 9am - 5pm (of course there are breaks in between). or even from 3pm - 5pm ONLY. hehe. maybe you would wana ask ur seniors who are in JC, cus i can only speak from poly's perspective. hehe. :)
as far as i know, CCAs ain't compulsory in poly. but it will help you a lot if you intend to go to university :) and if i'm not mistaken, it assists you for scholarships as well. hehe. actually, i'm in Ngee Ann Muslim Students Society (NPMSS) and photography. but but BUT. i have yet to participate in any of the photography outings. :P for NPMSS kan, if you're a muslim and a ngee ann student, you're considered a member already. hehehe.
PE, yes there is. it's called Sports & Wellness (S&W). but it's only for year 1 students, for one semester only. hehe. the best thing is that you can choose from the wide range of sports they have to offer. for me, i took badminton. :D
NAPFA test. this, i'm not really sure about. but from what i heard, we'll have to go for the 2.4km run in year 3. but i don't know if there'll be changes. hehe.
